 Everyone uses facebook. It has billions of active users. This makes it a great opportunity for affiliate marketing. I know 4 methods and I think they are the only 4 methods that can be used to get traffic to your affiliate links from facebook. 

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is basically promoting other products that you did not create with your specific affiliate link. Most of you reading this article would already know about affiliate marketing.

Affiliate programs.

Affiliate networks have a variety of affiliate programs in them. Shareasale, Commission Junction( CJ)  , impact affiliate, clickbank and digistore24 to name a few.

You also have individual affiliate programs like bluehost affiliate, SEMrush affiliate.

These programs have setup their own affiliate program for their product.

You can select any of these affiliate products.

How to select an affiliate product to promote

You can select a product from any of the above networks. However, if your product selection has not been done properly, then you will not make any sales with your product.

Here are a few tips you can use to select the right products:

• It should be legit and not a scam. If you sell bad products to your audience, then they will not trust you. Read reviews and see the brand to understand if it is legit or not. If possible, even use the product yourself.
• The sales page should be converting. It should have a lot of information about the product and would want to make people buy.
• High brand value. If I were to promote Bluehost and Joe's webhost( Just and example) , which one do you think you would buy. Obviously bluehost. It has a brand value and is trusted.
• Recurring. If the product gives you recurring commission, then it is great as you can build a source of passive income for yourself.

Landing page

Whenever you are promoting affiliate links on facebook, make sure to build a landing page. Facebook just hates affiliate links and it will ban you or not let you post affiliate links in the first place. 

You can build landing pages trough landing page builders like clickfunnels, google sites and linktree(free). The great thing I like about linktree is that you can easily link to multiple products without looking spammy.

4 methods to get traffic to affiliate links from facebook

Now let's just talk about the traffic methods and get to the point.

1. Facebook groups

Facebook groups is a feature that facebook is pushing at the moment. This is also the best way to get traffic to affiliate links with facebook. Here are the steps:

• Create a facebook group. Write a intriguing title, description, logo and cover photo which explains what your group is going to be about.
• Start posting your first content for a couple of days.
• Start giving friend requests to people who are members in other groups related to your niche.
• Once they accept your friend request, send them an invitation to your group from the invite function in your group.
• Grow your group this way till a few hundred members.
• Encourage members to post content. This will help you to get more reach. This is called User Generated content.
• Monetize it properly. Tell people to enter their emails when they join your group. Pin a post promoting any lead magnet and ask for an email in exchange( setup an email marketing service like convertkit.). In the end of that lead magnet also pitch your affiliate product.

2. Posting on your own account.

This is also a good way to make some money on facebook. This wil work most of the time and can help you to get some money which you can use for paid advertising or other things.

Here are the steps:

• Create a new account on facebook.
• Just do normal genuine posts for three days. Just a couple will be enough.
• Go to a group that is active and not dead in your niche.
• Start sending friend requests to the groups members a couple dozen at a time.
• Build some friends. The facebook limit is 5000
• If you get 5000 friends before doing the next step, you will earn hundreds of dollars in one day.
• Once you have built as many friends as you could, make a good post on your own profile and give a link to your landing page.
• Now just see the sales coming in.
• An additional step you can do to start making some more money is start DMing these friends and chatting with them for some time before pitching them the product.

3. Starting a facebook page.

I have found a really good method to make some money with facebook pages.

Create a page on facebook and find a few not too competitive products on clickbank or digistore 24.

Then start writing reviewing these products in your facebook page. If your product is not competitive, then you can also rank on google.

Another thing you can do is create a facebook page on your niche. Then start posting normal content over here and join many groups and start interacting in these groups and just providing value and don't pitch your page.

You will see that after some time of interacting in these groups, you will automatically start getting visitors to your page.

4. DMing people

In this method you send a few people friend requests. When they accept your friend request, start chatting with them for a day or two. When you become their friend, pitch them your product. you can make some good money doing this method.

However, this will need a lot of work.

There are a few methods you can use to get traffic to your facebook group. This will not succeed overnight and will require some work by you.

The best and most sustainable method out of all of these according to me is creating your own facebook group.
