Forums are a great way to get traffic to your blog. In forums you engage with people and in the end you can link back to your website. But there is a specific method to do this and if you don't do it properly, you will get banned.

Now if you check the traffic of different forums you may notice that it is not in the millions. One of the biggest forums right now, warrior forum, itself does not have even 1 million visits per month.

When you search this on google you will get many websites showing up for this. You can then click on these websites.

 Maybe checkout their traffic and the countries from where they get their traffic from with similar web(it is free). I prefer websites which get majority of their traffic from tier one countries.This is because the average income in these countries is higher and the people here have more money to spend.

Way 2:

This is way easier than way 1.

For this you just go to a website called findaforum.net. This website has a big list of forums. You can just go to the search bar and type the niche of forums you are looking for. Then it will give you a list of great forums. Then you can start searching for the best ones.

How to promote:

Now let's come to the point, how do you actually go ahead and promote your blog posts on these forums.

Now, first things first, do not spam. you will fail even before you write your post.

You need to be giving value and just value. I also never give a link in my pots, comments, or threads. I give my links in two places I am going to be talking about now.

The first method is Your signature.

Your signature is displayed just below your posts and comments. This is the way I get most of my traffic. What I do is that I just add a link to my latest or newest blog posts in my signature with a line telling what that posts is about. I update my signature every time I write a new post.

You can add a link in your signature when you create your account on a forum and you can also edit it in the settings or account section.

Now once you add the link in your forum signature, you can also edit your profile and add your website's home page's link on your profile which you already may be doing in your social profiles for your blog. This may not generate too much traffic but it does not take much time, you just have to add it once so it is worth it.

Now you just need to start engaging with people. So just start commenting on various threads and also build your own threads. This is not youtube's comment section and don't add thins like great, wow, or thank you so much as a comment on other threads.

You need to write something valuable or write something that the thread poster did not write in their thread. You can also give your opinion in something they talked about in their thread.
