Instagram can be a great way to make money. You can do affiliate marketing, drop shipping, print-on-demand or even paid promos.
But this post is not going to be about the different methods to make money on instagram.
But in this post I am going to be talking about the different ways you can grow on instagram.
1. Clean profile
Now just think abut this. If you are browsing on instagam and if you visit a profile on instagram which does not have a good name. bio, or logo would you follow that page? So you can create a clean logo which shows what your page is about on canva.com . Also add a name which does not have many symbols. Also add a clean bio with emojis and it should also show what your page is about.
So when all this is complete you are ready to start posting.
2. Post consistently
Instagram is like a machine which requires constant posting to grow. You need to be posting ever single day, at least 3-5 times a day. Now I see that most pages grow at a consistent small amount of followers every day until one of their posts goes viral. This happens usually at the 3-5 thousand followers mark. Like just yesterday I saw a post with 1,30,000 likes with just 4000 followers. So if you post consistently you have more chances to go viral. For Example I post atleast 6 times a day on my pages. This means that I have 6 chances to go viral every day which is more than a person who posts just posts 1 time a day and only has one chance to go viral every day.
3. Hashtags
This is the reason you can get likes on instagram without any followers.
Hashtags help your post to get more reach. They make your post more discoverable. Make sure to use the hashtags that have under 3-5 hundred thousand posts. It doesn't mean that you need to get the most popular hashtags to grow on Instagram. You need the less saturated ones. These days instagram suggests just upto 5 hashtags per post . Do not add 30 hashtags.
4. Reels
Instagram reels are exploding because instagram is trying to compete with tik tok.
So i suggest that you upload atleast one reel everyday. They get much more reach.
5. Follow for follow
This method may have a bad reputation but is actually great. I have used this method in all of my pages.
You basically go to a similar page which is in the same niche(topic) and posts similar content like your page. Then you just go to their most resent post and click on the people who have liked the post. Then you can follow the people who have liked the post. You can follow about 40 people at once and you can do this about 8 times a day. You can do this until you have 2-3000 followers on your page.
6. Schedule posts throughout the day.
Do not post all your posts at the same time. The life of instagram posts is short and you never know when your audience is online.
7. Engage with your audience.
Especially when you are smaller and your posts do not get a lot of comments, go and like the comments you get and also reply if possible. This could turn them into loyal followers.
8. Shoutout for shoutout
For this method you can reach out and dm different pages in your niche and ask them for a shoutout for free as you will also give them a shoutout on your page. The pages you reach out to should also have a similar follower count than you. For example, if you have a thousand followers, you can reach out to pages near the thousand follower mark.
9. Paid shoutouts.
This is where you reach out to people and pay them to give a shoutout to your page. This method is not recommended for theme pages unless you want a quick way to grow you IG account. You can use this method for personal brands.
10. Be the first comment on a competitors page.
If you are the first to comment on a page in your niche which has a lot of followers and the comment goes to the top of the post it will be very good for you.
